In 1991, Scuba Pool Repair was established, filling a gap in the swimming pool repair industry. While there were companies specializing in underwater repair before us, none had endured. The previous attempts to establish an underwater repair industry had failed, contributing to a "fly by night" reputation. However, through our quality work and diligence, we have become a respected resource in our industry. Our company's founder, Drew Anderson, formed Scuba Pool Repair in 1991. Drew had been diving professionally for several years as a scientific diver for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. After leaving the aquarium, he recognized the potential in the industry and founded Scuba Pool Repair. Since then, we have been repairing swimming pools in the Silicon Valley, on the Peninsula, and in the East Bay. We have accomplished significant repairs of major university pools, including Stanford and UC Santa Cruz, underwater repair work, and consultation for major commercial aquariums on both the West and East Coasts. Through the development of underwater tools, techniques, and materials, Scuba Pool Repair offers a service that was previously unavailable. *Pop-Offs*: Delamination is the separation of layers that are supposed to be bound together in the swimming pool. Broken plaster or 'pop-offs' are a result of plaster delamination. We have techniques for repairing 'pop-offs' underwater, which perfectly matches the existing plaster, using Pebble Tec, or Hydrazo finish.
