Our History

Barber's Chemicals was established in 1959 by Charlie Barber, the head operator at Shenango Valley Water Company. With a vision to capitalize on his relationships with chemical suppliers and small treatment plant operators, Charlie, along with his father Launce (a recent retiree from Westinghouse), set up shop. From its humble beginnings with a 1960 Chevrolet delivery truck and a small residential-sized warehouse, Barber's Chemicals has grown to become a leading distributor of products and solutions for a wide range of industries.
